How we calculate the Puffy Score
A combined assessment (0–100) of how well a website performs from an operational perspective. Scores are updated automatically multiple times daily.
Speed 0–50 points
Based on 7-day average response time. Under 200ms gives full score. Over 3 seconds gives 0.
Security 0–30 points
Valid SSL certificate, HTTP→HTTPS redirect, HSTS header and certificate margin. Everything that ensures a secure connection.
Server & Config 0–20 points
Compression, HTTP/2+, clean redirects, plus essential website elements like title, meta description, OG:image, favicon and touch icons.
All websites are checked with the same standardised request for fair comparison. Only root domains (e.g. example.com) can be ranked — sub-pages and sub-domains are not included.
